Summer Daze

So much to do, so little time. As usual we have been out and about trying out the local eateries of Sacramento, attending special events, and keeping busy at home. Last month was no exception. We attended the Dave Koz and Friends Jazz Festival at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa.
It was a great outdoor event facing the beautiful hills of Napa. We sat about 6 rows from the front in the reserve seats just to see one of our favorite Jazz artist Dave Koz. He is such an entertainer. David Benoit was the opening act. I have been a fan of David for many years and to see both David and Dave together in one concert was a dream.

We will be keeping our eyes open for Dave’s next concert. If you haven’t seen them, you should. You won’t be disappointed.

Hi Prixie, yes just a couple more weeks and we will start to see Fall. Just came back from the shopping mall and it’s already started. Retailers are already stocking up on sweaters and all their Fall lines.
I’m still in the Summer mode so I had to pick out what’s left of their Summer clothes.

Jazz concerts are such a treat, summer time spent in the park listening to great music is the best. We have some great concerts here in Dallas as well at the flower gardens.

Hi again Debo! I’ll miss Summer because of the Jazz concerts and other musical events in the outdoors. We love it, it’s such a treat. I hope that you fared well through Hurricane Ike so you can continue enjoying the flower gardens.
Actually all the rain made everything even greener. Ike was not a problem here, thank goodness.

Are you serious? We love him too. He’s such a great entertainer. Can’t wait until he comes to town again. Next year he has a cruise tour concert. It sounds like a blast.
