06 Jun 2008 Remodeling Kitchen and Bath
 |  Category: Home  | Tags: , , , ,

Since our trip back from Turkey we’ve been busy remodeling the kitchen and bath. It’s something we’ve been planning for some time now, but didn’t have a chance to do because of work and other priorities.

It’s also the reason why I’m not online as much as night cause I’m busy working on these projects. It’s been fun and now we finally have something to show for our hard work.

Here are some pictures of our upgraded kitchen and bath here.

The counters are granite, the cabinets have been refinished (chemical refinished), and all hardware replaced with new (faucet, pipes, vanity lights, etc.).

It hasn’t gone all that smoothly especially in regards to the electrical and plumbing. Most of it was guess work, research on the net, and talking to Home Depot folks. Just crossing my fingers that it last.

Stay tuned for our next project . . .

  1. Hi Rolando,
What a beautiful job you did! You two are quite talented to do all that yourselves. Our bathroom is in need of a makeover too. Great job.

  2. Wow Rolondo that looks nice!! At these rate you’ll be ready to show your home on that MTV show Cribs. If it’s still on. I got a kick out of that show. Turkey sounds like a cool place. Glad you’re back.

  3. Hi Chris, I can’t take credit for the countertops, lol. I did do the plumbing and electrical stuff and that’s it. The countertops take expertise and experience that I don’t have. But we are happy with the results.

  4. Hey Ricardo. Only show we’d be on is baby Cribs cause our house ain’t that big, lol. I liked watching that show too, but something it got too depressing cause I knew I couldn’t afford half of that stuff. The other stuff they showed was just a waste of money if you ask me, lol.

It’s great to be back. Just playing catch up since then.
